Sailing Tuition

Full Sail University [students and teachers?]?

I'm thinking on going to Full Sail University, in the next year and a half. I have some questions for those who either attend Full Sail, Full Sail teach, or know much about Full Sail: 1. Is this really a good college? 2. If Mac Book Pro notebooks those included in the fees? 3. Are students able to work while going to school? 4. If you were not eligible for financial aid, how to pay school as well as grants (which do not cover everything)? May. What is student life?

Full Sail is horrible. It's really a joke. Here is a post I found web: As a former teacher at Full Sail, I think I can speak with some authority on the complete scam, or selling silly, as the staff called it. All this shit I've read on message boards about "whiners are just the students who could not cut it" and "out of it what you put into it" is rubbish. A bad school school is bad no matter how dedicated student and full sail is a bad school. I've been to the Royal Colleges and sails, is not one of them. First, are placed by advance when you say they have industry contacts that will help you get a job after graduation. NOBODY at Full Sail has contacts in the industry. Again, no Full Sail has contracts in the industry. No one works there knows anyone working in any of the trades that aim to teach there. If anyone was at Full Sail contacts, which would use them to get a real job. Anyone who could get out, is gone. Almost all teachers are there because they can not get a job in another site. Those who remain are long past worrying about the students. Only a few new guys and try to teach students what they need and burn very fast out due to not receiving the support of corrupt administrators. Students believe that what they learn at Full Sail allows them to get a job because that is what the school will says. No way. Nothing in the curriculum are prepared to compete in the industry, especially against guys with royal titles and more experience. It is totally superficial. N-depth training in all and in-depth training and experience is exactly what you need to get a good job. All at Full Sail is a front for pumping new students. Full Sail spends a huge amount of money and effort and striking decoration team to create the impression that it is a high-tech, state art-installation. It's not. It's just an illusion. If all that energy was spent on education, graduates may be able to compete in the labor market. Many teachers are full sail full sail graduates. (I was one of the exceptions. I went to a real university.) A common joke at Full Sail reads: "What is the difference between a Sailing instructor and a complete Full Sail grad? "Three months." (The three months between graduation and being hired.) The placement program is a joke. They do nothing for the graduate. They have contacts in the industry. Any industry. To make up the statistics of their placement, they do things like this: "A grad got a job at Blockbuster. Well, that's a job in the film industry, is not it?" No. That's a job in retail. But the list of that as a graduate to get a job in the film industry. Orlando is full of video stores composed Full Sail graduates. All at Full Sail is a lie. They tell Oliver Stone shoots lectured at Full Sail. Wrong! Stone gave a lecture at UCF and, as a courtesy, the dean of the UCF extended an invitation to students to attend full sail. But I still say they are today. I personally heard this lie told by tour guides at school. What kind of school has classes 24 hours a day? One of my students told me he had been scheduled for 28 straight hours of classes. He fell asleep driving home and nearly hit his car. Do you think that a good way to study? Administrators do not care about students. At all. You could die campus and would not mind if your check cleared. How much do you think you would learn or remember this ridiculous program? There is a reason Full Sail is the only university in the world using a 24 / 7 uncut semester programming class. Full Sail crammed as many sales through as quickly as possible to make money. Because Full Sail has to do with money. And the lies. Make your own movie? That's what I tell students. Not a chance. Teachers choose the script (not yours) and the director and assigned a post in the crew. Whatever job you get, do not get to do it long enough to get good that. Never met a student who was satisfied with the way the film turned out that was often the teachers who were screwed. And Full Sail does not provide continuous education for its personnel with knowledge that every day becomes more obsolete. Hope you like paying for training obsolete! In terms of production shows, save your money and get only one job at a company that has, for and learn for free. Many people do. As an alternative to Full Sail, if you want to make movies, here's my advice. Read books on screenwriting. script writing. Buy equipment. Buy and install the program editing. Buy camcorder. Make Movie. Sell film to the distributor. It's cheaper than Full Sail, you have to maintain equipment, and you have to do what he wants. Not fooled by flashy marketing. For the love of God, do not go to Full Sail! Sincerely, a former Full Sail Master
